The Riptide team connected in March, 2022 and launched an almost immediate frenzy of gigs across Cape Cod, playing a variety of venues, weddings, and private parties nearly every weekend.
Each band member brings an impressive resume of experience from recording projects and national touring to a stint at Boston's Symphony Hall.
Post(ish)-pandemic boredom brought this crew together to jam and they had no idea they'd soon be playing upwards of 70 shows a year for an enthusiastic following. They've agreed to keep going as long as they're having fun, and so far it's been an absolute priviledge to play music among awesome people and for beautiful audiences.
Fun facts: Lisa Loeb once opened for our singer! And our drummer once opened for Christopher Cross. :-)

Riptide is a four-piece band that includes drums, lead guitar, bass, and a dash of rhythm guitar. We have a female lead vocalist who shares the stage with two other male singers, so they can cover a wide range of songs and harmonies.
An hour, but we prefer an hour and a half, so we can catch our breath before hitting the stage!
We have it all and then some. Riptide comes to your venue fully-equipped with state of the art instruments and amplification for optimal sound quality.
We aren't trying to cop out on this, but we really do play all kinds of music. We lean mostly toward classic rock covers and the tunes we love from growing up in the 70s through 90s. But we're sure to include the best of today's dance favorites.
At this point in our music careers, we've all been in bands that were way too loud, so we work hard to allow our vocalist to shine while highlighting tasteful spotlights on guitar and drum solos. While we hope you dance, you may also expect to be able to have a conversation with the person next to you.
You can catch Riptide playing most weekends on Cape Cod, but we venture to Boston and beyond for private events. Check our calendar to see where we're playing next!
It depends on the length of time you'd like us to play, your location, song requests, deejaying or emceeing needs. We can do it all, so please connect to learn more!
